BASIC FUNCTION:

An energetic contributor to a Landscape Consulting Firm in Houston.  This firm’s clients range in all areas of Commercial Landscape Management specializing in consultation of environmentally related projects.  This position requires an individual that can be diverse in many skills related to a variety of projects, including design, project management, cost allocation, and effective communication, graphic and management skills while interfacing with clients, suppliers and related business functions.   Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, projects, design drawings and implementation.     

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

·         Excellent Graphic Skills

·         Environmental consciousness

·         Understand industry direction and development of technology improvements

·         Understanding of Landscape and Hardscape construction

·         Develop, coordinate, and manage project schedules

·         Demonstrate ability to work with consultants and outside sources of professional information

·         Coordinate contractor selection process including RFP scope and proposals

·         Author and Negotiate contract terms and conditions

·         Project Administration        

·         Maintain a working relationship with contractors, consultants and suppliers

·         Manage the preparation of projects for bid

·         Organize and track project expenses

·         Participate in landscape designs

·         Perform inspections of contract and field performance

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture

·         Understanding of Horticulture and ADA Acts

·         Ability to use CAD, PC spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, and scheduling applications

·         Demonstrate ability to prepare accurate budget forecasts and to administer and track budgets
