Responsibilities:  The Arborist conducts technical review of land development proposals in relation to tree preservation, making recommendations to City officials, investigating complaints relating to tree preservation, and enforcing the City’s tree preservation ordinances and landscape regulations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to supervising and coordinating landscape inspection and plan review work; reviewing professionally prepared landscape plans and specifications and writing administrative reports and giving expert testimony in regards to site development.

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Forestry, Horticulture, or closely related field; supplemented by two (2) years previous experience and/or training that includes land development, planning, forestry, tree preservation, site plan review, code compliance, interaction with advisory boards and personal computer operations.  Must possess and maintain a valid Texas driver’s license.
